Licence endorsements - Standard electricity and gas retailers
Section 33A of each Act provides obligations of supply and other matters as determined by the Minister, known as 'endorsements'. Gas and electricity retailers must adhere to these endorsements determined by the Minister under each Act.
Electricity
The following retailers are the Standard electricity retailers:
- EnergyAustralia
- Integral Energy
- Country Energy
Standard retailers are required to offer regulated retail prices approved by IPART to small customers in their respective retail supply districts, and offer to supply any customer in their respective retail supply districts who is connected to the electricity distribution network.
Standard retailers have been issued with a Standard electricity retailer endorsement to their retail licence:
The following retailers have been issued with a Retailer of Last Resort endorsement to their retail licence:
- EnergyAustralia
- Integral Energy
- Country Energy

Gas
The following retailers are Standard gas retailers:
- Country Energy
- ActewAGL
- AGL
- Origin Energy
